but please see/check Barthek's early textures (what are not released (yet) unfortunately)

those are almost good, squares/quadrats a bit small (should be only 3 under the su-27 wingspan - what is almost 15 meters) so there should be 5 or 6 squares on the full taxiway width - if you want to use square/quadrat

but

please use the standardized russian concrete slabs on the textures - there are no different sized slabs used on runways/taxiways in real life/on the earth

Was not aware of the measures on the tiles, I think I'll start again with everything, but I'm going to take it easy to make very precise.I do not have much time but now I have that information, I would do a little more realistic. It is difficult to fit the dimensions of the textures on different scales using DCS in each object. It is a process of trial and error I guess. Well, thank you very much for the information.

Resized concrete slabs (4m x 6m). Based on the scale of A4-Skyhawk (12.2mx 8.4m) to the image below.

In DCS, the scale is based on the Su-27.

The runway, taxiway and parking, will be built with the same concrete slabs respecting the reference photographs.

Taxiway lines and parking have two options: in white and yellow. Taxiway plates and parking will be cleanest, but keep the battered Soviet-style.

Hello all,

 

I had some thoughts about this runway mod and I was asking myself if it is possible to just skin one specific airport, in my case it would be Sochi, and leave the others as they are?

 

I was also asking myself if proper aligned taxi lines, parking lines, line-up lines and a "second centerline" for formation take-off would be possible. For reference what I mean, RF13 did a mod in FC2, with some nice parking areas and runways, see the "NE" runway ("ND" is better looking I think, but it has no line-up lines) and the parking area "B"

probably not, iirc, some airports share the same textures, while some have individual texture.

any update?

Much work now:(. I could not close for now. I have noticed that even make real scale texture, textures remain resized and deformed. Only in some airports, they will be without deforming. DCS textures are applied based on object size, so for each object (runway or parking) textures are deformed according to the scale of the object.

Hi mate, nice Mod, one I will certainly use.

 

A question re the cracked concrete. Are you using a psd file for that effect. I want to do something similar and cannot find anything quite as good as that. Is it available anywhere ?

Hello crazyeddie, that texture is the result of a photograph I found searching the Internet. Sometimes you need not search the banks of textures, but also in banks photographs, then you must edit the picture to turn it into a usable texture, so it can be repeated. I work my textures with Photoshop as PSD files.
