Laobi Posted May 6, 2015 Posted May 6, 2015 (edited) Hi all, Just got a X55 Rhino and spent time researching how to make my throttle rotary wheels trim the aircraft and I think I have solved the issue. Watch this video on different programming modes as this is where I developed the initial idea from: Kudos to Frooglesim for his indepth tutorial. Here is how you do it: Check which keys are bound in your DCS settings under HOTAS on the A10C Sim, we're looking for the Left wing trim, Right wing trim, nose up and nose down settings Then open your Saitek Hotas Profiler and select the rotary wheels under programming. Then click on Rotary 1 and Directional Axis like so Then select New Advanced Command from the drop down on either the Rotary + or - like so Then in each click each of the 3 boxes in turn and deliberately press and release the desired mapped key. Don't press for either too short or long a duration Press OK then rinse and repeat for the other trim controls. Don't forget to press the send to profile button at the end (looks like a target) A couple of final points. You may have to play with the sensitivity settings to get the desired results and you may also have to try slightly longer or shorter key presses. Otherwise this works as intended. I hope this helps others as I couldn't find any instructions on how to get a result as cool as this with the rotaries. Enjoy, Laobi PS: Any chance of a sticky on this please as it will save people a lot of time Edited May 6, 2015 by Laobi 1 My Youtube Channel: http://www.youtube.com/channel/UCqH078Ef0HENo01LF3xwIvA Twitter: @CrashLaobi All of my opinions are my own and are just opinions, as a result they as useless as the opinions of others!
