cass1ope1a Posted May 17, 2006 Posted May 17, 2006 Hello, i am "forced" to use windows xp 64 for work related programs at home. I can install Lockon (ENG/GER[Are there differences?]) at Windows XP 64 but i CANT update to 1.12. The game is installed to C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Eagle Dynamics\Lock On. Installer keeps saying no installed LockOn was found, i do own a legal copy of the game, also i run the latest drivers (board, gpu, ..). Anyone has a solution for this problem? greets, cass
Silent Warrior Posted May 19, 2006 Posted May 19, 2006 I won't claim to be the expert here, but I seem to recall some programs shouting nasty things at you if you make filenames containing some certain symbols, and I believe brackets (parentheses?) are some of those symbols. Try installing LO in a bracket-free environment and report back.
Dizz Posted May 19, 2006 Posted May 19, 2006 Don't know if this will help, but I'm now running on XP64 in my (x86) directory no problems. Initially, I loaded from Lockon Gold and needed a replacement Disc 2. The challenge is that version of Lockon Gold, while it will load, it is not X64 compatable. I know the 1.12a patch fixes the problem but if you are running from Lockon Gold with CD's, you have to make sure you DL the 1.12a patch specifically for CD loads. I found it on Lockonfiles.com.
