Coding of a simple radar

Hey folks! :D

I was wondering if there's a guide somewhere (or if someone very very kind can explain and give some guidelines) on how to program a basic radar (like Selex Grifo-M, or APG-66, Kopyo-25, etc...) with simple A/A (maybe also A/G if we could :)) functions. i have some .lua coding experience, so like doing a plugin, flyable mods which involves .luas, aircraftdata.luas, and so on, so i at least know that we need C++ programming. But is it really so hard to model a radar which can use an e.g. AIM-7M? Can somebody help me out? And when we got this coding, how we get it under the form of a radar gauge image?
