goodpoints Posted July 10, 2015 Posted July 10, 2015 (edited) I've found some the positions of certain switches hard to remember in the Russian pit as the English text labels are not all standardized in their orientation, though the majority follow the 'switch up/forward = first (left) in label' scheme. e.g., almost all of the RV and RH switches are labelled "on/off" which corresponds to on = up/forward and three-stage switches like CU3 are labelled "IR Missile/Neutral/SAR Missile". (up/center/down format) I find this orientation most logical and I believe it's consistent with at the least the A-10C as far as cross-module consistency. (though I may just not notice inconsistencies there since I can read the actual switches) Whereas, on the ASP interface, CU13 is labelled "ASP Mode - Missiles-Rockets/Gun" while the actual switch is up for guns and down for missiles/rockets. Some other examples of switches which don't fit the pattern: CU11, CU14, CU15, CU19, RV62, RV64, LH57, LH58, LV5, LV40 Granted I just started learning the 21, but some of these labels have caused me confusion so standardization might help the learning curve for others a bit as well. Along similar lines it would be nice if the table lights had labels on mouseover. Edited July 10, 2015 by goodpoints clarity
