DPS Posted May 27, 2006 Posted May 27, 2006 I've just put this video up to Google Video for A-10 fans: http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-8104958058037934000 The HUD is a bit hard to read, but I will put the good quality WMV version (and the mission file for anyone who wants to fly it) up to my web site when my bandwidth allowance recovers. 1
WhiskeyRomeo Posted May 27, 2006 Posted May 27, 2006 Very nice Tutorial. Best example yet of Close Air Support work with a JTAC (Joint Terminal Attack Controller)! (JTAC formerly known as FAC - Forward Air Controller) Excellent 9Line CAS briefing from Zipper-11. And of course outstanding airmanship in the attack. About the only thing missing was your INFLTRPT (In Flight Report) following the attack. :music_whistling: OKay; maybe Zipper-11 didnt give you the "Cleared Hot" notice and you called "Maverick" instead of "Rifle" when you launched on the ZSU-23 but thats just niggley-picking over minor details. Seriously though.... well done! REP inbound. For any one curious as to how close DPS came to the "real thang" you can check through the Joint Tactics, Techniques and Procedures for Close Air Support in Joint Pub 3_09_3 available online in PDF format http://www.dtic.mil/doctrine/jel/new_pubs/jp3_09_3ch1.pdf :pilotfly: Skip ahead to Chapter V: Execution page 121 though (unless you're a masochist for military jargon and procedure)
WhiskeyRomeo Posted May 27, 2006 Posted May 27, 2006 I bet you could get Lockonfiles.com or Lockonskins.co.uk or even FlankerTraining.com to help host your tutorial. Other wise your http://dpsflight.com/ website will be outta bandwidth in No Time
DPS Posted May 27, 2006 Author Posted May 27, 2006 WR, you are quite right. I should have used 'Rifle!!' Also Zipper 11 couldn't pronounce 'Abinsk' - but I didn't like to correct her! Thanks Ruggbutt, I will PM the URL for the 'quality' version to you right now. Enjoy. DPS.
