Game is halted when player crach

I have a very strange issue.

when I crach in sea or on the ground. the Game is halted !:cry:

It only happend in cockpit view. If the pilot is dead or explosion in the

sky, everything is OK.

 

the version I use is 1.12a.

What do you mean by halted? Crashed? With what error? Technical specs like, CPU, Video Card, Ram, Operating system, and detailed information of what actually happening and when (online, offline, anytime, consistent, inconsistent) would help a lot.

"Halt" I mean is the game totally freezed, no matter I press the keyboard, move the mouse and joystick. the view on the monitor is freezed on the moment that I crach. The only thing I can do is use task manager to quit the game.

 

This issue is alway occured when I crash, no matter what kind of mission I play. (I always play it offline).

 

"crash".... how can i explain???? For example, control your plane dive to the ground. so.. crash...

 

PC spec:

cpu: p4 2.8

mem: 1.5 Gig

gpu: nividia 6800

os: winxp pro sp2

HDD : 160G

Did you install any mods (sound, graphical mods)?

Was it always like that?

Since the overall specs seem ok, it may be multiple things, starting with drivers and finishing with corrupted lockon files.

 

I would try the following:

1)clean reinstall of the game

2)video/sound drivers update (btw, do you have a built-in sound? built-in sound card may sometime cause annoyances)

3)turn off the sound hardware acceleration: start>run>type: dxdiag press ok> go to Sound tab> turn off the acceleration

4)lower down all graphical setting of the game to lowest possible value, check what's happening.

I did really install a water FPT mod that is downloaded from lockonfiles...

well, try what I suggested (or start by unistallind this mod), and see what will happen. That type of problems may only be solved with "try that and see what happens" method.
