Raven_Morpheus Posted October 3, 2015 Posted October 3, 2015 (edited) Just going to add my $0.02 to the thanks to ED for EDGE. I just finished installing it and went to try the Ka-50 mission Altitude which used to run like a slideshow from the start, due to the number of building nearby at ground level, and it runs great now, solid 30fps minimum. I also tried Stray Eagle in the Huey and that's even better, I'm getting >50fps when looking out the cockpit (I saw 70-100 on the fps counter!) and looking behind me at the crew I get decent FPS as well - they and the other Hueys on the FARP used to tank the framerate, bringing it down to the 20's. I will have to start the Huey campaign first mission to see what approaching the airport and farp full of Hueys is like because that gave me sub-20 fps as well. And I think I set my settings higher than I have them set in DCS 1.2. Need to test some more but I think I didn't need to go buy a new PC with an i5 CPU after all (still using my ATI Phenom II x4 955 @4ghz)... Edited October 3, 2015 by Raven_Morpheus
yzangard Posted October 3, 2015 Posted October 3, 2015 The only module causing FPS issues (when I say "issue", understand "less than 70 FPS", relativity stuff...) is MiG 21 Bis. All other modules I get are something like 120 FPS in flight and around 40 to 70 on base. Just impressive, was used to slideshow, now I don't understand when I have less than 50 FPS :p Really MUCH better.
