Kobymaru Posted October 6, 2015 Posted October 6, 2015 So the ASP Air-to-Air Gun pipper is now fed by the Radar. But how do I use it??? I set Weapons to Air-to-Air, the ASP to Gun Mode, Auto, and the Pipper to Gyro. Then I lock onto the target, and the pipper just jumps around completely uselessly. If I try to move the pipper over the target somehow, the bullets go above it. So how does this actually work? And is there a video and/or manual for this?
Harle Posted October 6, 2015 Posted October 6, 2015 (edited) I concur. Even though the long awaited AA rangefinding feature has finally been implemented, the aiming appears to be highly inaccurate. This mode of aiming is supposed to be applicable within 600-2000 m. interval. I tested it from 600 to 1100 m. And the bullets keep overshooting an IL-76 flying in a straight line even at distances closer than 600 m. ASP distance scale indication is inaccurate too. The needle moves according to 1-9 km scale for AA missiles, when it should indicate distance on the 400-2000 m. scale. Edited October 9, 2015 by Harle
