Unreliable Mirrors/Download Speed!

Hey guys I love LocOn Modern Air Combat Sim but you have to do something about your download mirrors. I just purchased the downloadable version of Flaming Cliffs and my first download during installation gave me an error I believe error 3. I assume I have to download it again. I’m located in USA I have broadband and my 1st download was barely at 18 kb/sec it should be more like at least 120kb/sec for the retail purchase. Now I’m downloading it again I was trying the Russian mirror to see if it is any better but it doesn’t even work at all.

 

I’m frustrated because if I had known that there would be problem with the download I would have ordered or bought the CD version.

 

Please fix the mirror version for flaming cliffs and boost download speed if you can please. I’m downloading now over 280Mb at speed of 6kb/sec or less and this just stops and starts and stops and starts I hope I download this add-on before Christmas 2006 ;)

 

PS. I have a feeling that with this unreliable download I’ll get corrupted install again.

I just did a test download to check the US mirror.

You can see from the above screenshot it's performing nicely.

It never dropped below 380 KB/sec

 

Are you using any type of "download accelerator" ??

You're right about the Russian mirror not working.

Gives this error message:

 

Fatal error: Call to undefined function: query() in /www/mirror.lockon/classes/WorkWithDB.php on line 29

 

Thats some type of programming error on the php main web site.

It's downloading fast now! :) Sorry whatever it was before it wasn't downloading well but is downloading fast now. :thumbup:

Oh yeah! It works downloaded and installed got by starforce made backup key for registry in case I have to reinstall it. I uninstalled and reinstalled just to make sure it works with the backup registry key then used backup registry key to activate it works fine works like a charm :)

 

Now all we need is Black Shark Add-On! Been playing LocOn, IL2+all add-ons, Falcon 4.0 Allied Force. In my opinion one of the most realistic sims currently available. Ahh Jane’s F-18 is ok but I think is getting old now, but still nice sim.
