Many years back I recall reading that someone at some point compared a late G manual with earlier manuals and noticed the gear ratio for elevator or the part number had changed inferring a changed ratio for at least the elevators.

I want to say i read this at the ww2performance boards over a decade ago. I don't recall where this discussion went or if it was debunked.

Can anyone confirm or deny that the gear ratios for the elevator or ailerons was ever altered as the 109 aged?

The 109K manual notes that the gearing (max. Elevator deflection) was changed to reduce elevator forces. But I recall there was a discussion on this Board on its testing. Unfortunately only snippets were available.

Check the big 109K thread, I recall several knowledgeable poster have shed some light and some papers on this control modification.
