Kariyann71 Posted November 7, 2015 Posted November 7, 2015 Hi all, I recently installed Helios on my DCS 1.5 Beta. All work perfectly excepted the Gauges refresh. Indeed, I estimated my refresh Gauges as 5-6 FPS. So, I changed the "export frequency" in Helios Profile editor to 30. No effect. I changed in the export.lua (in SavedGames and in DCS World Open Beta folders) the following lines : gExportInterval = 0.01 gExportLowTickInterval = 1 No changes. Does anyone can help me ? RoboPhred Posted November 9, 2015 Posted November 9, 2015 I had the same issue using the released version on gadroc's website, but building the current version at https://github.com/Gadroc/helios seems to not have the same issue. I suppose we need to wait for an official release of the next version.
Firehead Posted November 9, 2015 Posted November 9, 2015 Go to your export.lua in SavedGames/DCS/Scripts. Open the Export.lua, adjust the following intervals, I use: gExportInterval = 0.0067 gExportLowTickInterval = .0067 Works flawlessly for me.
RoboPhred Posted November 9, 2015 Posted November 9, 2015 Interesting, I didn't update my exports with the new version, and I can still get the slowdown when running the current release... At any rate, you may not want to up the gExportLowTickInterval, that controls the update rate for most of the switches, and will just add to more cpu burn and fill up the network socket. Too much in there will start to slow HELIOS down again as it has to deal with the backlog of data.
Kariyann71 Posted November 9, 2015 Author Posted November 9, 2015 Thanks for these informations, I will try it as soon as possible and report. Over :pilotfly: Corei7 2600K 4.4Ghz OC - NVIDIA GTX 1080 Ti 11Gb - 16 Gb DDR3 HP Reverb PRO HMD - Thrusmaster TWCS + TopGun Stick
Kariyann71 Posted November 14, 2015 Author Posted November 14, 2015 I tried both options. First of all, I set gExportInterval = 0.0067 and gExportLowTickInterval = .0067 Not better. I built another Helios using the gitub package, but unfortunately the generated executable is not working, each time my program stop and back to Windows... RoboPhred Posted November 21, 2015 Posted November 21, 2015 You built helios with visual studio, right? Have you tried running it through the debugger and seeing what is crashing?
Kariyann71 Posted November 25, 2015 Author Posted November 25, 2015 I will try to see  Corei7 2600K 4.4Ghz OC - NVIDIA GTX 1080 Ti 11Gb - 16 Gb DDR3 HP Reverb PRO HMD - Thrusmaster TWCS + TopGun Stick
Kariyann71 Posted November 26, 2015 Author Posted November 26, 2015 I launched the debug mode of profile editor and this one ask me the folder of XmlLayoutSerializer when I want to launch a profile.
