Redglyph Posted November 9, 2015 Posted November 9, 2015 (edited) Two visibility problems, not major yet annoying when using the map. a) The airport names are ususally not visible, written in white on white when zooming in, or having other details written on top of it when zooming out. Attachments 1-4 illustrates that problem. Attachment 5, in comparison, is how the mission editor shows a solution by contrasting the name with its background. This problem has been there since 1.2, at least, it's not new. b) The map ruler is not visible anymore since 1.5.1 update. Compare attachment 1 (1.5.1) with the last one (1.2, and 1.5.0 would be the same). It still works in the mission editor, this only concerns the in-game map so it would be a little as if the poor pilot ran out of ink to draw the bearings ;) Edited November 9, 2015 by Redglyph System specs: Win7 x64 | CPU: i7-4770K | RAM: 16 GB | GPU: GTX 980 Ti 6 GB | Thrustmaster HOTAS | MFG rudder pedals | SATA3 SSD | TrackIR
Redglyph Posted December 28, 2015 Author Posted December 28, 2015 In DCS 1.5.2.48726.137 (and DCS 2.0.0.48763.61): - ruler is visible again! - names are still very hard to read, another typical example below where it's almost impossible to see what is what, even when zooming in (here it's not the airport name but mostly the airplanes / other objects). Suggestions: - different colours / outline as in the mission editor, - selection of which names to display with for ex. icons on the border of the screen, - layer pop-up / enhancement of what the mouse if hovering, - more difficult to implement, labels that are scattered to have enough room to be displayed, with an edge pointing to their object.
