average_pilot
It looks like mirrors are being shaded like any other object of the cockpit making the image on the mirror brighter or darker depending on incident light. It seems to me that it should be as bright as the scene being shown on the mirror independently of the mirror being in shadow or not. Even more, they should add to the overall amount of light inside the cockpit depending of the brightness of the mirrored scene. And going a little further, they could dazzle the pilot. Now that I think, I should try to put the image of the sun in a mirror and see what happens.
average_pilot
Not a word on this? I think it's common sense that in a bright and clear day the image of the mirror shouldn't look so dark because a shadow is on the mirror.
