My only real life experience with GA aircraft equipped with slats comes from flying in a few models with 160 and 180 engines, of the Rallye Commodore / SOCATA Rallye as a very observant passenger.

I remember that landing the aircraft in just a few meters is possible with the slats fully deployed, but no hint of shaking present, as well as I know very well how it feels to fly well within the stall region, with the slats again fully deployed, the nose not dropping, and again, no buffeting, so, I wonder if this buffeting we feel in the K4 is correctly modeled.

I would accept it easily if it only came to play under real accelerated / normal stall conditions, but it happens whenever the slats even hint at starting to deploy ?

Ehh, I do not necessarily get shaking with slats deployed?

I'll test again, but AFAIR, if I "behave well" and make sure I'm in a coordinated and well controlled tight turn, I can get slats deployment without shaking.

Same goes if I cautiously, and again well controlled, approach stall speeds.

Are you sure you are not somehow forcing high speed stalls or the like?

System specs:

Gigabyte Aorus Master, i7 9700K@std, GTX 1080TI OC, 32 GB 3000 MHz RAM, NVMe M.2 SSD, Oculus Quest VR (2x1600x1440)

Warthog HOTAS w/150mm extension, Slaw pedals, Gametrix Jetseat, TrackIR for monitor use

Right... I was too fast writing... It had been some time since I tested it... Just tested and aftera all seems OK!

Only get shaking at a much higher AoA than teh one required for mild slat deployment...

Sorry for the false "alarm", and thx for your reply Sporg!

No problem. Glad to help. :)

Another thing, have you, or others, noticed that ED has added a sound effect like stretching a wire when making hard pull ups or hard turns?

I have not yet found out if it is connected with slats rolling out, or it is meant to be sound from the wires to the elevators.

Yeah I've noticed that too, but it's been like that for a while now. Always wondered what that was supposed to represent. Maybe it's the sound of the air as it is accelerated through the slats, I don't know.
