Is it possible to use steam key?

Hello,

 

When I first downloaded DCS it was on steam, and I also purchased the F-15C on steam. I now use the one that is downloadable from the browser. I've read that I can redeem my F-15C using me steam key to be used on the browser edition.

 

Is this true? And how can this be done? I've looked in the module manager for a redeem code spot but didn't see it.
