BSS_Vidar Posted January 12, 2016 Posted January 12, 2016 Is there a consideration for the water levels for the radiators after they've been hit. I believe they are not self-sealing. Once perforated, especially by a round like .50cal, those tanks should run dry in minutes. Eminent engine failure shortly after. I see water vapes off 109's lasting a LONG time. Just curious. V
ShadowFrost Posted January 12, 2016 Posted January 12, 2016 (edited) I do not know how well modeled the leaking of the 109 radiators is but there are valves in the cockpit you can pull to shut off each wing to prevent the entire system from leaking out. Shutting off both uses what is left in the engine and can last for about 5 more minutes. Edit: There are no current damage models for radiator leaks. Edited January 12, 2016 by ShadowFrost
