tob.s Posted February 3, 2016 Posted February 3, 2016 (edited) --- edit : just tried using the radar altimeter / "rs" instead of "tas" and finally was able to hit with rockets and low level ccip at 800ft 480kn, so is tas not working in 2.0 ? --- Hi, just bought the m2000 yesterday & got some questions about air to ground ive watched different video tutorials ( dcs 1.5 ) on the ag weapons but i seem to be missing something as my rockets fire way to far - independ from range and dive angle ( its like the piper is around 1cm to low on the hud ). the videos were made in dcs 1.5, is there any differnce to 2.0 ? i fly the instant action ground attack mission, set radar to em, master arm on, and select rockets - which gives me the piper - when enabling "trs" for radar ranging the piper is (and stays) gone with the ccip / rockeye or snakeyes i can hardly get to see the piper without crashing 1-2 seconds later unless engaging from up high in a very steep dive, even then the impact also seems to far - "trs" on/off seems to have no effect on this. Whats a good diveangle and speed for ccip bombs ? also in this mission the m2000 seems to carry 2 snakeyes and 2 normal mk82s, but after releasing the snakeyes i cant find a way to drop the 82s - i still can select "bf1" but neither the ccrp diamond or ccip symboligy is showing up, when pressing fire theres no release ( i was able to drop normal mk82s with ccrp in a quick mission with the plane just carrying mk82s ) thanks & greetings Edited February 3, 2016 by tob.s
Zeus67 Posted February 3, 2016 Posted February 3, 2016 Hi, just bought the m2000 yesterday & got some questions about air to ground ive watched different video tutorials ( dcs 1.5 ) on the ag weapons but i seem to be missing something as my rockets fire way to far - independ from range and dive angle ( its like the piper is around 1cm to low on the hud ). the videos were made in dcs 1.5, is there any differnce to 2.0 ? None whatsoever, only in terrain. i fly the instant action ground attack mission, set radar to em, master arm on, and select rockets - which gives me the piper - when enabling "trs" for radar ranging the piper is (and stays) gone with the ccip / rockeye or snakeyes i can hardly get to see the piper without crashing 1-2 seconds later unless engaging from up high in a very steep dive, even then the impact also seems to far - "trs" on/off seems to have no effect on this. Whats a good diveangle and speed for ccip bombs ? The CCIP piper is quite low, specially if you are in a swallow dive. You have to move the seat up to see it. Personally, for me the best dive angle is between 15 and 25 degrees. That means that I need a little altitude before doing the dive. also in this mission the m2000 seems to carry 2 snakeyes and 2 normal mk82s, but after releasing the snakeyes i cant find a way to drop the 82s - i still can select "bf1" but neither the ccrp diamond or ccip symboligy is showing up, when pressing fire theres no release ( i was able to drop normal mk82s with ccrp in a quick mission with the plane just carrying mk82s ) thanks & greetings Yeah, I'm sorry. That is an error and the mission will be fixed. The M-2000C is not supposed to carry a mix of air to ground weapons. The armament panel may or may not work, in your case it doesn't, and that is to be expected. Please read the manual, some of your inquiries are answered in it. tob.s Posted February 3, 2016 Author Posted February 3, 2016 Please read the manual, some of your inquiries are answered in it. well em u know, new toys ... thanks for the seat-adjustment hint , the video tutorial guys use trackir so its easy to miss this detail ( which maybee why its mentioned in the manual :-) )- with the seat at max up position i instantly succeded with snakeeyes greetings tobs
Dangerman Posted March 23, 2017 Posted March 23, 2017 (edited) CCIP is a low level delivery method for laydown or shallow dive in conjunction with retarded bombs to avoid self damage from your own weapons...... A CCIP release will always be at a low altitude because of the computed impact point for a retarded bomb Try setting up CCIP with retarded bombs and flying at low level delivery heights around 150ft AGL. CCIP pipper is always visible. The tutorials for m2000 CCIP on you tube mostly show weapon delivery at excessive height above the target. go see this one and you will get the idea...
