Massive fps drop on smoke and fire

I played through 3 campaigns since the first release of 1.5 beta, I never had a mentionable fps drop on fire or smoke. My settings are all on high, visible range ultra.

 

Right now i ve played the first ground attack mission on bf109 campaign. When i turn to the target village my frames drop from an average of 160 to 60, this means a drop of 100 fps.

 

This cannot be normal.
