Missile launch on F-15

Strange problem, most probably just a setting, I just can't figure out which.

To launch missiles I have to lower the landing gear. If I don't missiles won't launch. Why?

 

Been looking around, but unable to figure out how to fix it.

Do missiles launch in the air if you hold down the launch button? Keep it pressed until a missile fires.

 

The landing gear thing is a bug, it somehow causes the missile launch delay to disappear.
