Jacks Posted February 29, 2016 Posted February 29, 2016 When using CCRP and setting the aiming point using the lock button, the aiming point disappears beneath the nose of the aircraft once level flght is re-established. Is there any indicator to show the path to the aiming point (crosshairs on the hud) so the bombs are released in line with the target? System Specs: i7 8700k @ 5.0GHz (not delidded), ASRock Extreme4 Z370 MOBO, EVGA GTX 1080 SC 8GB, 32GB Corsair Vengeance LPX 3200MHz DDR4 RAM, Samsung Evo 240GB SSD, Samsung Evo 500GB SSD, 1TB HDD, Noctura NH-D15S Heat Sink, Acer VE278H 27" 1080p Monitor, Ocukus Rift CV1. Controllers: TrackIR 5, Thrustmaster HOTAS X, Saitek Throttle Quadrant (with DIY removable collective mod), Saitek Pro Flight Rudder Pedals. Just trying to keep my number of takeoffs and landings equal!
spiddx Posted February 29, 2016 Posted February 29, 2016 Is there any indicator to show the path to the aiming point (crosshairs on the hud) so the bombs are released in line with the target? Yes. After you have locked a target, there are two lines next to the diamond. They should stay horizontal/in line with the diamond (see pictures). The system is not too precise, you have quite a large margin of error. Jacks Posted February 29, 2016 Author Posted February 29, 2016 Thanks, also does PI mode work? Can I place a waypoint over the target and then select that waypoint in the INS and then release using CCRP without locking the target manually? spiddx Posted February 29, 2016 Posted February 29, 2016 Not at the moment, since the INS isn't fully implemented. You have to lock your target manually atm. Jacks Posted February 29, 2016 Author Posted February 29, 2016 (edited) Ok thanks, I have been playing around with the INS tonight using D/RLT mode and selecting the waypoint placed over the target in the ME and the crosshairs were nowhere near the target! Looking forward to the INS being developed.
