Warthog stick missing after update

After the update to 1.5.3.51218.38, my Warthog stick inputs are not recognised inside DCS 1.5

 

It must be seeing the stick, because it is listed in the control options - but all button presses are not seen. Neither in mission, nor in the profile GUI.

 

In the Windows input control panel, all works as it should.

 

Reboot - no difference.

 

I'll check with 2.0 - but after the last patch update that was fine.

 

EDIT: After returning to windows control panel, I found it had stopped responding to that, too (key presses only). A strip and clean of the stick and connectors fixed it.
