Mention In Dispatches

Apologies if this is the wrong place for this sort of thing, but this couldn't go un-mentioned.

 

I was flying on the aerobatics server late last night (GMT) in my favourite Flanker, just doing some high-alpha low speed experiments inspired by some of Ironhand's Flanker training videos.

 

I was low and slow with my nose pointed way up in the air when I was joined by an F-15 driver on my right wing. I'm very sorry now that I didn't catch their callsign because that Eagle driver, whoever they were, pretty much followed me through nearly every low speed high-alpha condition that I flew through. I wasn't exactly playing safe with the AOA indicator so whoever they were, he or she must have been right out there on the ragged edge of the Eagle flight envelope but never missed a thing until I finally pulled up in to a highly elliptical vertical loop where I had to use direct control mode to pull down through the horizon.

 

So, whoever you were Sir or Ma'am, that was a real pleasure to watch. Superb flying :thumbup:
