zerO_crash Posted April 9, 2016 Posted April 9, 2016 (edited) Two problems with rearming mig 21 currently: 1. Canopy gets opened after finished repair. 2. SPRD-99 boosters seem to be one time use only, as when you land again, and rearm them, during the rearming process (right after being attached), they fall off to the ground. Checked that both the switches for them are off (not needed really, but tried anyways), and they fall of still. Only thing that seems to work with 2. is to rearm to ASO countermeasure attachments, after which rearming back to SPRD-99 Edited April 9, 2016 by zerO_crash [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Zweistein000 Posted April 9, 2016 Posted April 9, 2016 The RATO boosters are one time use and are meant to be discarded after. Seeing that the are a solid rocket booster I highly doubt the ground crew would refuel them after use, if they were brought back.

If you land and re arm (meaning you took off and discarded them already), you have to load the RATO(or SPRD-99) twice, since the first time they will fall off when re loaded. Not sure if this bug was reported but it has been going on so since I got the Mig-21 last year. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=151197 http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=141429 Edited April 10, 2016 by mvsgas To whom it may concern, I am an idiot, unfortunately for the world, I have a internet connection and a fondness for beer....apologies for that. Thank you for you patience. Many people don't want the truth, they want constant reassurance that whatever misconception/fallacies they believe in are true..
zerO_crash Posted April 10, 2016 Author Posted April 10, 2016 Forgot to add that after jettisoning SPRD-99, everyone else (besides pilot) will see these boosters still attached to the aircraft. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
