I dropped flares accidentally while refueling. I fully expected to die a horrible fiery death..

Have mixed feelings about the fact that I did not.

It's a good thing that this is Early Access and we've all volunteered to help test and enhance this work in progress... despite the frustrations inherent in the task with even the simplest of software... otherwise people might not understand that this incredibly complex unfinished module is unfinished. /light-hearted sarcasm

Why would you die a horrible fiery death?

Look for 00-25-172, you can find more info there.

Also, the use of a higher flash point fuel

such as JP-8 or JP-5 in lieu of JP-4, when permitted by the

applicable aircraft technical orders, reduces the vapor ignition hazard.

To whom it may concern,

I am an idiot, unfortunately for the world, I have a internet connection and a fondness for beer....apologies for that.

Thank you for you patience.

Yes, I've personally put a cigarette out in JP5 because I didn't believe it when they said in "A" school that it wouldn't ignite. I wonder if a countermeasure flare would ignite it though... I think probably.

Flare would definitely ignite it, but did you have a fuel spill? Otherwise, how will the flare get in contact with the fuel?

In RL, it would be a ground emergency, every one out, call the fire department even if the flare did not ignite. But for us in DCS? Are we going to start worrying about hot brakes, hung stores, jam guns, etc.?

NO mvsgas.. you're right dude. My introspective and half joking, purposely illogical comment is thoroughly nullified by your pointedly contradictory statements which graciously clarify the obvious. Admirable.

Moderator, feel free to delete the entire thread. It's like your grandpa spending five minutes explaining a simple one line joke.
