Fri13 Posted May 10, 2016 Posted May 10, 2016 Is there a mod/script etc that would make units own anti-air firing more realistic? I mean it is already a boring and wrong that AI units like M113 or BTR-80 will aim so accurately, quickly and track your aircraft movements. It causes that there is no suppression or fear factor against air targets as everything is so predictable. Now all what is needed is to do slight alteration to flight path (nothing radical at all) and AI will miss as it is firing to perfect calculated leading point. So how about having a few things changed with script: Additional lag for aiming Now the AI will aim quickly and accurately without !much spending time for aiming. Mean error for aiming Instead tying to fire exactly at the target, there should be a inconsistent error for aiming so AI would actually fire all around you too. Burst modes AI will now just pull trigger and fire long bursts instead many small bursts and it keeps trigger down even when leading all the time Leading vs visualized stationary impact point The AI will currently lead perfectly to aircraft, instead AI should visualize a flight path and fire burst to stationary dot in space so the aircraft would be flying through the burst and changes are you will do so more likely than being lead on. Combining those would make an self-defense far more effective and destructive than now. You as a pilot couldn't do small maneuvers as ground firing is shot all around you and more units would mean you have far more tighter "flak fire" all around you and you need to keep distance and break away further and faster. At low light the tracers would cause fear as you easily see burst all around and at you, and to get close would be a frightening experience as you can't know when your next move will fly you directly on enemy fired burst that would otherwise missed you. i7-8700k, 32GB 2666Mhz DDR4, 2x 2080S SLI 8GB, Oculus Rift S. i7-8700k, 16GB 2666Mhz DDR4, 1080Ti 11GB, 27" 4K, 65" HDR 4K.
