HoraZ Posted July 25, 2016 Posted July 25, 2016 Hey guys, i have big trouble to get the right coordinates between my Mirage and the F10 Map. As i read in chucks guide i have to convert the seconds to percent by calculate secondsx100/60=x. But its not only the seconds thats wrong, sometimes the degrees are also +-2 and the minutes as well. What i do: Bat on -> INS Mode Selector to VEI (just to check my own position) -> UNI Paremeter Selector to Latitude and Longitude -> Compare with F10 Map -> Even if i align before, the coordinates doesnt match with my F10 Map and when i ignore that and give her some waypoints they are not correct, ther is always a huge difference. I activate Latitude and Longitude in Options. greetings HoraZ
Azrayen Posted July 25, 2016 Posted July 25, 2016 OK you're confused. Starting coordinates must be checked and corrected by the pilot. Aligning won't auto-correct this. It's not what alignment does. What's the issue with degrees and minutes? Simply copy them in your INS... RMK: you don't have to make conversions if you don't want to. Select the "Lat/Long decimal" format in DCS options. Then you'll get (D)DD°MM.mmmm format and you'll just have to round it to the Mirage's format (D)DD°MM.mm. ++ Az' PS: next time, please create your topic in the M-2000 forum. ;)
