Thisdale Posted July 25, 2016 Posted July 25, 2016 (edited) Having a lot of difficulty interacting with the Dragchute Handle. Edit: I'm in VR Rift. Maybe the interaction is difficult because the plane is moving (runway) at the time of interaction? Specifically, "Releasing" an open Chute. Repro: 1. "Right click handle to pull and release Chute 2. "Right click" handle again, to twist handle and release chute(?) 3. "right click" a very small portion of the handle, near the "E" in "Chute" to turn and return handle to default position. Part 3 is where, its pretty much impossible to do it. I have to click on it multiple times until i get "lucky" and it returns to its default position. Unless i'm missing something? Thisdale Posted July 26, 2016 Author Posted July 26, 2016 4. left click to return handle to its original stored position That's my issue where there. Sometimes i have to click up to 20 times on the thing for it to close. Seems completely random to me. I've noticed that clicking near where i marked on the screenshot as a higher rate of success, but i'm pretty sure something else is not clear or not working as intended. http://www.youtube.com/konotani Computer Specs: Z97X-gaming Mobo 4670k i5 24G DDR3 GTX 1080 Asus PG278Q Rog Swift 27-INCH G-SYNC Valve Index Thrustmaster Warthog Fanatec Clubsport Pedals (used as Rudders) Thrustmaster T300 Arcantera Wheel Obutto R3volution rig
NeilWillis Posted July 26, 2016 Posted July 26, 2016 There is absolutely no issue with the parachute handle here. Unless you don't hold down the mouse button on detaching the parachte long enough it works perfectly. And having to hold down the mouse button a little longer is a very good thing in case you accidentally click there just after deployment - a nice safety cushion! If you are having issues, I suggest you do an uninstall/re-install of your F-5E-3 module, because it seems to be a very isolated incident, and not a bug. I hope you resolve it.
NeilWillis Posted July 26, 2016 Posted July 26, 2016 It's a big enough target to click on, so I'd say that if you do have problems, just click closer to the centre where is works as advertised. Do you really need a huge hot spot? How on earth do you cope with toggle switches mounted close together? 1
Thisdale Posted July 26, 2016 Author Posted July 26, 2016 hmm guys, i wouldn't post this if it wasn't an issue, really. I've added details to the OP. When i try to interact with it in VR and click on the thing, it just doesn't go back. I have to click on it about 20 times. Left click, right click. no difference. the thing moves backward all the time, but oh so rarely forward. http://www.youtube.com/konotani Computer Specs: Z97X-gaming Mobo 4670k i5 24G DDR3 GTX 1080 Asus PG278Q Rog Swift 27-INCH G-SYNC Valve Index Thrustmaster Warthog Fanatec Clubsport Pedals (used as Rudders) Thrustmaster T300 Arcantera Wheel Obutto R3volution rig
Thisdale Posted July 26, 2016 Author Posted July 26, 2016 Alright, i managed to figure out what you were saying Neil and BBRZ. I toyed with the thing repeatedly and figured out what you meant by the Hold. Thing seems work now, as intended i suppose. Thanks for your time. http://www.youtube.com/konotani Computer Specs: Z97X-gaming Mobo 4670k i5 24G DDR3 GTX 1080 Asus PG278Q Rog Swift 27-INCH G-SYNC Valve Index Thrustmaster Warthog Fanatec Clubsport Pedals (used as Rudders) Thrustmaster T300 Arcantera Wheel Obutto R3volution rig
