Hey all,

I downloaded the standalone version of DCS (1.5 stable) in order to take advantage of the 40% of sale on the Bf-109 with the intention of eventually moving all of my steam keys over.

I've now purchased the 109 but it has disappeared from the module manager and I can't seem to figure out where to download it from on the store page.

To add to my confusion further, I downloaded the P-51 (the aircraft I spend the most time flying currently on the steam ) from the module manager and was able to fly it in the standalone version with out ever entering a key.

Do I need to make a new account and then transfer the 109 purchase to it? I guess I was under the impression that I just wouldn't be able to activate the 109 on the steam install... but if I can't activate it on the account that is associated with my steam account the wording of the FAQ really needs to be changed to reflect that...

Can I use my modules purchased from ED Store on Steam?

Note: from 06/07/2014, License Keys purchased from ED, Gamefly or other External Sources will no longer activate on Steam.

Can I activate my DCS World Module purchased on steam on DCS World Standalone(Non-Steam)?

Yes, you will simply need to retrieve your serial key which can be found within your steam library and right-clicking on DCS World -> "View CD Key" then use this serial key to authenticate your module on DCS World.

Another way to view your cd-key is by simply by clicking the "CD-Key" link on the right side menu displayed after clicking DCS World within your library.

If I can activate the 109 on the account I purchased it on what am I doing wrong and why was I able to fly the P-51 without ever having entered a key? I did have steam running at the time, but have since closed steam and am now running dcs directly from the ED directory that I installed to.

Also odd, the Mig-21 Icon on the bottom bar is colored as if I owned it (I do not). None of the other modules are colored, excluding the TF/P-51 & Su-25T.

I know more information will probably be needed to address this issue and I will be happy to provide it.

I've solved the issue by RTFM'ing.

I have a serial number for the module but I can't install it via Module Manager?

If you have a serial number for the module (purchased in other e-shop or from Steam) at first you have to bind it to account here: License serial number check, more information here: License informational Page and after that you will be able to install your product via Module Manager.

If you already check out all your serial numbers and they are bound to account and you still can't install Modules, so...

This is a quick solution for your problem :

1. Please download install batch file for your module, put this file to root \DCS World\ folder and run it once. Should be installed your module.

2. After that run any mission and activate by your key.

If your module is not listed, then download any version, open the file with editor (Notepad++) and change the module name to one that does not manage to install, save under the desired file name and put this file to root DCS World folder and run it once.

The correct name (Module_ID) you can take from this page.
