Hi pilots,

i was trying a simple navigation flight with the Mirage 2000C just for get more practiced on the INS wpt's management. My payload was a 2x R.550 Magic 2, 2x Super 530D and a centerline fuel tank.

When i was in mid air my master caution goes yellow and on my Warning Advisory Panel the CONF light turns on.

Just like how it happens after the drop of external fuel tank. But in this case the fuel tank was still attached. (On the picture see the fuel indicator DETOT and the Warning Advisory Panel)

Your centerline tank just became empty, allowing/prompting you to change the G-limiter switch.

It's not empty on that screenshot, it's almost empty.

But the system still tells pilot he can already switch from charges to normal.

When the tank goes empty, there'll be a specific Fuel Warning light (yellow RL) right under the Fuel Amount Counter

Then i can switch to A/A Mode on FBW Config also with the empty centerline tank attached?

Yeah but with "Charges" fbw modality the plane will limit the G and max AoA. If i bring with me 6 Mk82, switch to A/A isnt the best thing. For example in the leatherneck's MiG-21 if you pull up over 5G with bombs/tank you will lose them.

This is the difference between "you can" and "you should".

As ZHeN said, you can switch to A/A (or CHARGES) anytime. And the aircraft will obey this.

But you should stick to CHARGES at all time except when your payload is:

- clean aircraft

- air to air missiles (any type/number)

- centerline fuel tank EMPTY

In other words, as soon as you have:

- fuel in the center tank

- wing tanks (full or empty)

- any kind of air-to-ground payload

=> then you should be on CHARGES

The CONF light respects those rules.

same for M2K here, you'll lose all your bombs, rockets and fuel tanks if you pull too hard in A/A mode
