RilleL Posted October 26, 2016 Posted October 26, 2016 Hey, So I have a rather big problem. I recently upgraded my rig from a gtx 970 to a 1070, and since then I have not been able to run DCS properly, not with my Vive or regularly. After the upgrade I have noticed a few changes in the start up procedure to get DCS to start with the Vive at all. I used to just start it in "non-vive mode" or whatever it's called and it would sort itself out. Now I have to first select "Start in Vive-mode", which starts up SteamVR, then start up DCS in the Steam menu. When I start it with vive things work ok in the menus, but when I load into the cockpit there is horrible juddering and really weird ghosting regardless of visual settings. When I take off the headset it seems to be running fairly smooth on my screen, but not in the Vive. Also when I try to start DCS in non-vive mode, with VR turned off in DCS in-game settings, it still starts up Steam VR, and the right half off my screen is all black. I have also noticed a similar, but less pronounced issue following the GPU switch in Elite Dangerous, but everything else runs much better with the new card, so it is not that the card is busted. I have tried re-installing DCS but no change. Would appreciate any tips to fix this.
RilleL Posted October 27, 2016 Author Posted October 27, 2016 Nope. I got an Asus card with two hdmi-ports.
