Krinje Posted November 1, 2016 Posted November 1, 2016 I'm embarking on a design experiment and to start I need to define some goals for the project to see what is reasonably achievable within a budget (tbd). Adding a length extension and force feedback to an X55 is the goal of the project. Specifically I'm looking for information on real examples of stick force for several types of aircraft. This is so I can get a good idea of what it would take to replicate reality vs what is practical for design, space and budget. I need examples of peak forces/resistance for: Warbirds, direct cable driven surfaces. Hydraulically assisted controls. Fly-by-wire feedback. Rotarcraft direct and hydraulic. Any units of measurement are appreciated! Also, Does anyone happen to have a number in regards to realistic cyclic lengths? Could really be any helicopter, I'm just looking for a ballpark. Ideally a Gazelle or KA-50, but anything will do. Thanks for your help!
