juryman03 Posted October 12, 2006 Posted October 12, 2006 I wanted to set up a simple multi-player mission that would let myself and one other person takeoff and land. I tried to set up one flight with two planes, but I could only set up one plane as 'Client', and this was the only one that would show up as available to fly. So I tried two separate flights of one plane each. Still could only get one plane to show up as available. So I tried two separate groups of one flight of one plane each. Finally, two planes were available to fly. Is this the way it's supposed to work? Can two persons not fly in the same flight in multiplayer? And if anyone can point me to where any of this is explained, I'd sure appreciate it.
S77th-konkussion Posted October 12, 2006 Posted October 12, 2006 Each client must have a hand-carved flight to himself. [sIGPIC]http://forums.eagle.ru/attachment.php?attachmentid=43337&d=1287169113[/sIGPIC]
golfsierra2 Posted October 12, 2006 Posted October 12, 2006 I wanted to set up a simple multi-player mission that would let myself and one other person takeoff and land. I tried to set up one flight with two planes, but I could only set up one plane as 'Client', and this was the only one that would show up as available to fly. This is normal behavior, as said by S77th_konkussion, each human pilot needs an own aircraft, inserted as single-ship and activated as CLIENT. So I tried two separate flights of one plane each. Still could only get one plane to show up as available. After you joined one coalition, either red or blue, you only will see the other aircraft marked as client of the same side - naturally. Your pal joining the other coalition probably will see the second aircaft then on his side, but won't see yours. So I tried two separate groups of one flight of one plane each. Finally, two planes were available to fly. For a MP-mission, you should think about how many human pilots will fly on which side, then add the number and type of aircraft (as clients of course) to the mission accordingly. You can add addional aircraft not selected as clients as you like, but they will not show up as selectable aircraft, and will be flown by artificial pilots by the simulation instead. Is this the way it's supposed to work? Can two persons not fly in the same flight in multiplayer? And if anyone can point me to where any of this is explained, I'd sure appreciate it. kind regards, Raven.... [sigpic]http://www.crc-mindreader.de/CRT/images/Birds2011.gif[/sigpic]
