mia389 Posted November 14, 2016 Posted November 14, 2016 I think the last patch fixed the F15 AP. I always use attitude and altitude mode in the past and its been very sloppy. After update it works very good. Didn't see it in patch notes but something seeemed to be tweaked
fitness88 Posted November 15, 2016 Posted November 15, 2016 I always found attitude had to be engaged first then altitude, all within plus 3 degrees approx. and it would work well. What exactly are you referring to?
SinusoidDelta Posted November 15, 2016 Posted November 15, 2016 I always found attitude had to be engaged first then altitude, all within plus 3 degrees approx. and it would work well. What exactly are you referring to? There was/is an issue with ATT/ALT Hold suddenly disengaging at higher altitudes. I think that's what OP is referring to as being fixed.
JazonXD Posted November 16, 2016 Posted November 16, 2016 No, there was a problem where if you had altitude hold on, if you entered a bank, the nose will slowly start dropping until it was lower than the allowable range for autopilot to work, and it'd disengage. Essentially, altitude hold wasn't working properly. Don't know if OP was referring that that being fixed, because if it is, that would be amazing. Pocket Sized Posted November 16, 2016 Posted November 16, 2016 I was under the impression the F-15 autopilot has been totally INOP for years lol DCS modules are built up to a spec, not down to a schedule. In order to utilize a system to your advantage, you must know how it works.
