CptTangerine Posted December 9, 2016 Posted December 9, 2016 Hi Since the update today my in-cockpit cursor is locked to my headset. Yesterday I could control it with the mouse, today I cannot. Also, today everything seems very bright and washed out. When I am looking at the options I can barely see the light text on the grey background. I did not have that problem yesterday either. Please would someone let me know a solution if they have one? Cheers! razo+r Posted December 9, 2016 Posted December 9, 2016 For the cursor, you might want to look a bit around, we have now about 2 other threads with the same issue
AMEDooley Posted December 9, 2016 Posted December 9, 2016 I too am having the same problem. It is not an issue on 2.0 but it is an issue since the last update. not sure what happened. I can move the cursor but it is like it almost snaps back to center in my headset. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

CptTangerine Posted December 10, 2016 Author Posted December 10, 2016 I had a bit of a look around and I found this: I have since rolled back to the previous version and all is well again. I'm no particular rush to play The Border add-on which seems to be the only real advantage to this update. aeggwards Posted December 10, 2016 Posted December 10, 2016 I can confirm the brightness/wash out and cursor issue in the new update. The zoom for the Vive is a welcome addition though.
Haukka81 Posted December 10, 2016 Posted December 10, 2016 Same here, Oculus CV in use. New update make all colors washed out, contrast is bad now. :( Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Oculus CV1, Odyssey, Pimax 5k+ (i5 8400, 24gb ddr4 3000mhz, 1080Ti OC ) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
lefuneste01 Posted December 11, 2016 Posted December 11, 2016 I had the problem with the washed out color, but I moved steam install directory for maintenance (free disk space) purpose and after that had a sreamVR beta update. The color are now as before the last update... Intel i5 10400K @4.8 GHz, 3080ti, 32 GB RAM, Varjo Areo. Haukka81 Posted December 11, 2016 Posted December 11, 2016 And pixeldensity 1.0-1.4 will make colors come back :P Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Oculus CV1, Odyssey, Pimax 5k+ (i5 8400, 24gb ddr4 3000mhz, 1080Ti OC ) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
CptTangerine Posted December 11, 2016 Author Posted December 11, 2016 Is that pixel density in-game, or through the config file? Does the in-game pixel density do anything on the Vive? I hadn't noticed any difference when I pushed it up. CptTangerine Posted December 11, 2016 Author Posted December 11, 2016 No, what I mean is does it actually affect the sharpness of the picture? I have ramped it up to 2.0 but didn't notice any difference. I heard it only had an effect on the Rift. Haukka81 Posted December 11, 2016 Posted December 11, 2016 In rift it makes huge difrence, i run now in 1.4 but may try next 1.3 plus 2xMsaa , Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Oculus CV1, Odyssey, Pimax 5k+ (i5 8400, 24gb ddr4 3000mhz, 1080Ti OC ) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
CptTangerine Posted December 11, 2016 Author Posted December 11, 2016 So, just the problem with the mouse being slaved to the headset to fix and I can upgrade again. CptTangerine Posted December 13, 2016 Author Posted December 13, 2016 What pixel density settings do you have in-game? I'm just wondering if that is the sole cause. Are you having problems with the mouse cursor being locked to the headset position?
