Boris Posted February 3, 2017 Posted February 3, 2017 I've never been 100% satisfied with SLI in DCS World and am now looking to get rid of one of the cards. Additionally, I hear SLI has it's problems with VR, which I'm also looking at. I now have the opportunity to swap my two 980ti cards for a GTX 1080 Xtreme Waterforce. Is this a fair swap? On paper, in terms of raw performance the SLI 980ti cards have more potential. On the other hand, a single card will rid me of my SLI issues and I will have 8gb vram instead of 6. I'm also thinking about the resale values. Am I better off selling one 980ti and waiting for the 1080ti and then sell the second 980ti? Or do I do the swap and not bother with a 1080ti?
