Windows XP Pro x64 edition, don't waste your money. This OS is terrible. There are ALL KINDS of program and driver compatibility issues. You also don't get ANY kind of Windows Media Player with it, nor can you download or even run ANY VERSION of WMP. Want to play flash videos in Internet Explorer? Forget it! This POS won't even allow you to install the necessary Active X controls to get the latest Flash Video player, let alone the player itself. There are also lots of places to buy downloadable software from that only support IE, but need Active X controls in order to download, so you're SOL there too. No WordPad, not even the FRIGGIN' WINDOWS CALCULATOR!!! GRRR!!!

It took me a few weeks, but I have finally figured out that the 64-bit version of XP is little more than a bad joke. I'm not waiting for Vista though, it'll be at least a year after release before that is worth a s**t...we all know how that goes. Oh well. Just ordered the OEM of Windows XP Pro 32-bit version with SP2b...along with my HIS X1950 Crossfire Edition master GPU. 8,000's on 3DMark06, here I come! :D

Hopefully the FC registry save & restore utility will work as advertised, because I'm going to need it.

Its uniformed stupidity like that, which cause confusion and misinformation.

I guess those hundreds of thousands (millions?) of people who have it running and extremely fast & stable ----- got a special version?? .......:music_whistling:

Awww...what a nice reply.

Care to tell me specifically where I went wrong? Does this mean you have x64 edition installed on your machine?
