Black_Hawk Posted November 11, 2006 Posted November 11, 2006 A while ago I was reading about editing meinit in order to set planes to be able to take off from aircraft carriers. By that I mean the aircraft that aren't supposed to take off from them. Could anyome provide me with the procedure? I couldn't find the thread by Search. 159th GAR LockOnFiles CAW Team
Wild-Weasel Posted November 11, 2006 Posted November 11, 2006 Landing on any carrier is: <LandRWCategories> <Category CLSID="{05708AED-329E-41c3-9C51-9CCE4AA09380}">Carrier</Category> </LandRWCategories> To take-off from russian carrier <TakeOffRWCategories> <Category CLSID="{498729D7-0504-43f4-9585-F906CFE3B508}">AircraftCarrier With Tramplin</Category> </TakeOffRWCategories> To take-off from US carrier <TakeOffRWCategories> <Category CLSID="{A899CB38-FECC-46ef-9F85-165779669F56}">AircraftCarrier With Catapult</Category> </TakeOffRWCategories> Place in aircraft's entry just before the </Plane> at the end.
Black_Hawk Posted November 11, 2006 Author Posted November 11, 2006 You can actually land on a carrier without a hook? Or just the AI? And thanks for the code, I'll try that now. 159th GAR LockOnFiles CAW Team
Wild-Weasel Posted November 11, 2006 Posted November 11, 2006 Well I have landed the Su-25T numerous times on the Kuz but that is nothing to do with the ME entry. Not sure if you can land any SFM aircraft on the deck. I'm mostly a T frog driver. The Me entry is for AI only (but gives you glideslope info in your hud).
