Problem in multiplayer

Hello, I am new to this game, tipped off to it by my buddy, but I am unable to play multiplayer with him. I get in the server, pick a team, pick a plane, and then outfit it. Then I click 'fly' and I load up and get to my cockpit, however everything is frozen, as if im paused, except I can look around the cockpit, and it says on my screen: 'waiting for server.' After a while I get kicked back to the debriefing screen, I was wondering if anybody could halp me and tell me what the problem is, or what I am doing wrong. Thanks. :helpsmilie:

This happens sometimes when you have some mod that the server hasn´t installed.

 

Both you and the server must have the same configurations (mods, conection speed setting is also important)

I have it set 10 128/128 and I just installed the game this week, so I have not installed any mods.

Lower you speed setting, and try that way. You wont get any advantage in setting high internet speeds. Try some low speed adsl setting (I don´t have FC right here so I don´t remember the values you have to choose from)

 

If I remember well, my speed setting is that corresponding to a 56 K modem (but I have adsl)

Firewall allowing LOMAC to use the internet? If you are behind a router- you'll have to configure it to allow your playing computer to be seen by the host.

I fixed it, the problem was I had mcafee on my computer. Even though i turned off firewall, apparently if mcafee is even installed on computer multiplayer wont run.

You had mcafee firewall probably

no, I turned off the mcafee firewall and the windows firewall, but I had to uninstall mcafee completely for game to work.
