Nose wheel steering works in 1.5 not 2.0

i have been flying the f-5 in 1.5 for a while. when I tried to run it on 2.0 this weekend, the nose wheel steering doesnt work unless i use the mouse and click it on the stick in the cockpit. i have checked the keys and i have them mapped correctly to my x52 pro. but even if i hit "S" on the keyboard it wont steer. if i launch 1.5 works perfectly. i havent had any issues going between 1.5 and 2.0 with a-10c. any feedback is appreciated.
