doodenkoff Posted May 23, 2017 Posted May 23, 2017 Kashuri Breakout is a WIP server. The content is devoted to air-to-ground practice. Right now I'm only running 8GB of memory in the computer, so I'm not real sure how much load it's going to handle. I know at least two people on at one time doesn't seem to cause problems, although I'm allowing for 16 slots. Come to think of it, I don't think I have 16 aircraft placed. Did I mention it's a work-in-progress? The briefing will provide a hint for finding target areas. Hint: Go East about 64 km...look for the smoke. Kill a couple of random units and recon units will hit the road and advance to Kutaisi. Reduce the air defenses by some percentage and reinforcements for those units will hit the road as well. There are currently no SAM sites. All air defense is Shilka and truck-borne ZU-23s. I'm crossing my fingers that the mission will properly reset every 3 hours. Get a couple of friends, blow some stuff up, and let me know how it performs. Thanks, Doodenkoff Win 10 | i7 4770 @ 3.5GHz | 32GB DDR3 | 6 GB GTX1060
doodenkoff Posted May 28, 2017 Author Posted May 28, 2017 Mission Briefing: Red Forces are attempting to break out of Kashuri. Self-propelled artillery and an armored unit have moved up the river valley to threaten Kutaisi. The armor and artillery groups have stopped and are holding position while additional units are moved in to place. Air defenses support the artillery and armor. Now, no SAM sites have been detected. The AO is approximately 65km due East of Kutaisi airport. Smoke markers will outline the artillery sites and the armor's forward position. There is a COMM station overlooking the valley roughly 9 km @ 127 degs from Bagdati (LM25). It is undefended other than small arms fire. Another COMM station lies about 6 km from Tkibuli about 8 degrees West of due North (LM39). Reduce the AA strength enough and reinforcements will depart Kashuri. Local intel will pop smoke on them as they pass. If you see smoke on the road, they've passed within 5 minutes. Recon units will depart Tkibuli and Chiatura at random times. Local intel will pop smoke markers on them as they pass, maybe. The rotary wing group at Batumi should get busy searching the major river valley running East from Batumi. It's rumored that Red forces have moved some small advance units in to place to prepare an assault and capture of the Batumi airfield. Find those units and destroy them. Intel says there may be a couple of MANPADS in that valley. Grab a couple of squad mates, jump in a ground-pounder and blow some stuff up! Then come back here and let me know about performance, etc. Some screenshots are provided. Win 10 | i7 4770 @ 3.5GHz | 32GB DDR3 | 6 GB GTX1060
doodenkoff Posted May 29, 2017 Author Posted May 29, 2017 Maybe those enemy units East of Batumi are a bit tougher than I thought. Took a round in the underside and everything stopped working correctly. Win 10 | i7 4770 @ 3.5GHz | 32GB DDR3 | 6 GB GTX1060
doodenkoff Posted June 4, 2017 Author Posted June 4, 2017 Now with 16 GB of RAM goodness and a couple of SA-6's for the SEADers. Win 10 | i7 4770 @ 3.5GHz | 32GB DDR3 | 6 GB GTX1060
