If the material system isn't setup to support different render targets?

 

You can check in the DirectX shaders if deferred is enabled but the entire texture loading and configuration system, lua, has no concept of it.

 

Yesterday Razbam said they are only designing textures and shaders for deferred because of this very problem.

 

If the material system isn't going to be updated to allows devs to configure textures depending on the render path then you might as well remove it as a user option. Just asking for trouble otherwise.

 

On a side note I'm glad it's an option for the time being after seeing all the issues.
