Simicro Posted August 25, 2017 Posted August 25, 2017 Hi everybody, ED has just announced in the weekly newlestter a new campaign in the making ("Charnwood" for the P-51D). When I started DCS in 2014 there was no DLC campaigns. Then I was absent until june this year and now, WOW! There are nearly 20 campaigns, either by ED or third parties, available on the store. Thanks ED for making the decision to allow 3rd parties to create campaigns:thumbup: Thanks to 3rd parties for creating new campaigns  I am most impressed by efforts made by all to bring innovations. I've flown 2 campaigns for helicopters recently and really appreciated features like copilot confirming the actions and events by reading back the checklist during startup or the possibility to check the mission status through the radio-coms menu. I don't recall exactly but I saw like a framework allowing to program triggers on aicraft and gauges status. I think it is a very promising area and I see that developers are leveraging on it. It is only the beginning and results are nice! :worthy: It is as if we are entering the Golden Age of DCS Campaigns and I hope that everybody will have at least one new campaign for his preferred aircraft. I wish one day, there will also be a "scenery/map" Golden Age ;) I would love a Viet-Nam map for the Huey (and coming F-4). - Tony - .
