have_quick Posted September 30, 2017 Posted September 30, 2017 Just got an Oculus, pretty impressed so far. One issue I'm having with DCS, probably it's just something I don't have set correctly. When I move my head forward, the cockpit moves with my head. It's hard to describe, but I would expect that when I move my head closer to a gauge for example, that the gauge would get larger in my field of view, as if it were getting closer to my eyes That is not happening, instead it's like the gauge 'retreats' so that it stays the same distance from my eyes. Feels odd, and watching videos of other people I don't see this behavior. Searched but haven't been able to find anything. Don't think it's a tracking issue, tracking seems fine, and I've tried recentering and moving the camera. Any ideas? Thanks
Lensman Posted September 30, 2017 Posted September 30, 2017 Sounds like your Rift is losing sight of the sensor. Make sure it is in clear view and you have it the right way round (glossy surface facing the Rift). I know, I got that wrong once! Intel Core i7 6700K @ 4.5GHz. have_quick Posted September 30, 2017 Author Posted September 30, 2017 Don't think that's it, it behaves the way I would expect in other Sims like iracing. It also tracks all other head movements correctly in DCS, pitch and yaw of the head work perfectly. Really seems like I must have a setting wrong in DCS.
_schepper_ Posted September 30, 2017 Posted September 30, 2017 What i notised a time ago that 1 sensor is in usb 2 and 1 in usb 3 My simpit is build before the usb 3 sensor... When i play other games i notised never problems but when i moved my pc i build my usb 2 sensor before my simpit and than i had the same problem. So when my system only tracks my head with the usb 2 sensor i have same problem with the head If my system tracks my head only with usb 3 sensor i have no problem. You say you have no tracking isseu but i just wanted to mention wat i expierienced :) ---------------------------------------------------------- i7 2600K oc 4.7g / asus gtx 1080 gaming x+ / 16gig ram / ssd 500gig / oculus rift / jetseat se / saitek rudder ((next upgrade)mfg crosswind) / logitech warthog hotas + 20cm extention
