Hey folks, I'm attempting to put a relatively accurate map together with close representations of Black Sea air defenses. One im stuck on at the moment is the relative location of the S-300 sites that were/ are on Crimea. Does anyone have any google earth images that show the locations?

Specs:

Fractal Design Define R5 Black, ASUS ROG Strix Z370-E, Intel Core i5-8600K Coffee Lake @ 5.1 GHz, MSI GeForce GTX 1080ti 11GB 352-Bit GDDR5X, Corsair H110i, G.Skill TridentZ 32GB (2x16GB), Samsung 960 Evo M.2 500GB SSD

Google " samsiteoverview.kmz "

If you already installed Google Earth then it will pop open.

The guy that did it pulled his file host and went to work for Janes instead. (http://geimint.blogspot.co.uk/)

The historic view sometimes helps see the shadows of the berms around the firing sites more easily in some cases.

After a while they get easier to work out. Especially when you can read the shadows well. Shadows tell you more than the image itself when it comes to antennae and also can give you height above ground if you know your maths (take a known height of another shadow like a house, extrapolate for napkin maths)

Most of the stuff is historic though. But literally anyone can read a SAM site off Google Earth and become an armchair analyst.
