lost settings/calibrate tab for Saitek x45

Hi all.

:helpsmilie:Wondered if anyone else has this problem? Gone to control panel and my settings tab has gone for my x45 so I cant calibrate it and i have a new tab called "deadzone" (im sure I didnt have it before). Im not sure if a windows update has changed it or what, can any one help...please.

Do you have a screenshot of this? I can't calibrate mine- it's digital. I don't have any of those tabs.

Sounds like your OS can no longer locate the drivers. Try reinstalling those first.

I guess this X45 is connected USB, and not serial port? (gameport, whatever) I know that XP wants you to use the same USB port that you installed it on- and that plugging the device into a different port will set off the new hardware wizard and it may attempt to load drivers on it own.

 

You have removed the device, uninstalled, deleted the folder rebooted and started fresh?

 

When reinstalling did you install ALL required software? You can't skip the "magic mouse & keyboard".

 

I'm sort of grasping at straws here- I've never had any tabs beyond "about" & "test"

TA DAAA Ive sorted it, just installed the origional drivers that came on the disk supplied with x45 and its back as it was. Now why didnt I think of that before!:doh:(f**k wits)
