bunraku Posted November 9, 2017 Posted November 9, 2017 Hi Guys I apologise, but thought I would try a different freshthread. I have an issue just now where I find the A-10 can never really can be trimmed straight andlevel. I’d say it is more banking than pitching. I have flown the A-10C formany years on and off and can’t remember it being so hard to fly and I passedthe Basic and Advanced training campaign previously. Maybe I am wrong? I have the issue the plane wants to bank left, so I trimright. Maybe just 1 or 2 clicks and now the plan wants to bank right. So trimleft and now it wants to trim left. It’s like it overtrims or the the settingsshould be milliseconds instead of half seconds. Even no payload or wind and itstill wants to bank eventually (However slowly). So right now it’s more aquestion of getting level as possible and holding the stick constantly orgetting level and Auto Pilot on and off, on and off etc etc. I have the TW Warthog. I have calibrated through Windows. Ihave also Calibrated with the TW Calib tool which I thought was rubbish as itjust told you push up and down etc and not in full circles. In W10 Calibrationit shows X and Y axis dead centre at 32768 which I think isperfect. So if that’s the case it must be the Hog?? Like I said earlier I can’tremember it being as hard to fly straight and level once trimmed. It just seemsI can’t get it trimmed. Any thoughts? Is it the 1 Modelling in DCS? 2 The Joystick? 3 The settings in DCS controls? Thanks
mxmadman Posted November 9, 2017 Posted November 9, 2017 Check to make sure your rudder pedals are fully centered when not in use. Might turn out it isn't your stick at all. Just a guess though, good luck.
SGT Coyle Posted November 9, 2017 Posted November 9, 2017 If you have pedals, dissconect them and try to trim a/c. If nothing else, you know there isn't any rudder input queering things up. I have issues with trimming too. I also have a TW Warthog. I'm going to try the "TrimDXAxis" function in my T.A.R.G.E.T. script tonight. Night Ops in the Harrier IYAOYAS
