I didnt change anything on my end.

A few months ago I tried hosting a server and it doesnt showup in server list and when people try to connect by Ip its says server offline.

I tried again tonight and got the same result

Any ideas?

Virtual Hungarian Air Force 1.5 server rarely in the server list since many months,

most of the time I must join via IP. (ping average: 40ms)

Usually 3 list updates needed to show the 1.5 server. But this came worse with 1.5.8

The physical machine running a 2.1 server also.

Any ideas?

Things to check

 

1. Client and server both running exactly same version / build of DCS

2. Host PC, is there are firewall exception with DCS port you are hosting on allowed?

3. Host PC does the internet router you connect through to the internet have a rule for the DCS world port used forwarded to the LAN IP of the hosting PC ?

I have all firewall ports for DCS open.

I used to have no problems hosting and I have not changed anything.

There was an update and I havent been able to host since then.

I dont know what changed and I dont know how to fix it.

A few other friends are having the same issue.

Did you use add program to firewall exception list

or

use advanced firewall rules and forward the port ?

 

Not sure if an exe changes with the former that the rule still holds
