Thick8 Posted February 10, 2018 Posted February 10, 2018 I use the Odyssey. It seems to me the the HUD is adjusted for lower resolution HMDs. This makes the HUD elements and text to appear sort of fat and fuzzy on the Odyssey. I lower the intensity on the CDU and have changed the old and new k values to 80 in the lua file. The HUD is much clearer now but not quite there yet. Is there any other values I can change in the lua to make the HUD elements less “fluffy”? Deano87 Posted February 12, 2018 Posted February 12, 2018 Erm... you'll have to be more specific. Are you talking about the A-10C? Also HUDs are sort of fat and fuzzy in real life as well at times lol. You could try MYSE1234's Realistic HUD mod : https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=185661 Which might help you out. Deano87 Posted February 12, 2018 Posted February 12, 2018 Also afaik while the odyssey has higher resolution screens than the Rift and Vive it's spread over a wider FOV so the effective resolution at the sweet spot (in the centre of the vision) is pretty much the same. A lot of the reviews I've seen have said the Rift and Vive are slightly sharper although lower in field of view. I haven't tried one so I dunno though.
