352ndDeacon Posted February 15, 2018 Posted February 15, 2018 I tried last night to set up a server on my machine with version 2.5 for myself and two friends. While they saw my name for my server in the list, it was greyed out and they could not connect. Today I noticed that there are a number of servers whose names are greyed out. Does this mean that someone couldn't connect to their servers also. I checked my router and firewall along with my antivirus to make sure that the correct port was opened and that the exe file was allowed but still no dice to them connecting. Has anyone else noticed this and what could be the problem? Thanks in advance for any help.
seandst Posted February 16, 2018 Posted February 16, 2018 I have the same or similar issue. In my case, the game is telling me that I don't have the TF-51D module installed/activated. Given that the module is built in to the game (right?), I'm not entirely sure how this is possible: I'm not sure if you're seeing the same problem, but check the bottom left pane in the server browser, under where it says "Required" to see if that's what's happening for you, too.
sslechta Posted February 16, 2018 Posted February 16, 2018 That may install separate like paid modules do. You may need to visit the Module Manager and see if there's an available download there. 352ndDeacon Posted February 16, 2018 Author Posted February 16, 2018 I've figured it out why I was greyed out. I had a few mods in my mission that my friends DID NOT have. Once I took those out, they were able to connect and my server name was NOT greyed out.
352ndDeacon Posted February 16, 2018 Author Posted February 16, 2018 seandst, try a cleanup and repair. You may have a corrupted download of the sim. that should take care of the problem.
seandst Posted February 17, 2018 Posted February 17, 2018 Tried a clean and repair, but it didn't fix the problem. A full reinstall would probably fix it, but ugh so many gigs. And no, the TF-51D (and Su-25T) are not separate modules; as far as I can tell they should be part of WORLD. https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=2548018&postcount=4 For fun, I did try to just install a module named "TF-51D" anyway, but the updater had no idea what that was.
